NC Mitigation Bank Call List

Pick a credit type, then one of the service areas listed for it in the NC DWR Approved Mitigation Banks table. You'll get the bank sponsors approved to sell there, grouped by who to call.

Unofficial source. This is a convenience tool built from the public DWR list. Before you rely on a bank for a permit, confirm its approval, credit type and service area against DWR's own Approved Mitigation Banks list and with the permitting staff reviewing your project. Where the two disagree, the DWR list governs. Approval is also not availability: it shows where a bank may sell, not how many credits it has left.

How it works

Matching, in plain terms

Step 2 lists the service areas exactly as they appear in the chosen credit type's column of the DWR table, because that column is what governs where a bank may sell. Stream and wetland cells that name several HUCs are split into one option per HUC.

For buffer and nutrient offset, a bank whose broader service area in the same HUC takes in your pick — for example "Including Falls Lake" when you picked "Excluding Falls Lake" — is included and tagged Broader area. Sponsors that share a contact person or email are merged into one entry, so you call a person once rather than each of their banks.

Built from the DWR list dated July 29, 2026 (214 bank sites). NCDMS in-lieu fee projects are not on that list. RestorEcology is itself a bank sponsor, and appears first when it has a bank matching your pick; every other sponsor is ordered by how many of its bank sites match.
