RestorEcology has received approval for a 33-acre natural habitat restoration project on Horse Branch and one of its tributary streams near Grantham, NC in Wayne County. Existing hardwood swamp along Horse Branch has been preserved, and native hardwood trees have been planted in cropland areas to improve water quality.
Nitrogen (lb) and Neuse riparian buffer credits are available for sale to offset stormwater and buffer development impacts. The project service area is the Neuse River Basin HUC# 03020201, excluding the Falls Lake Watershed.
